How do I know if I need a Life Coach or a counsellor/psychotherapist?

Life Coaching isn’t for everyone. I’ve suggested several times to people who want to work with me as a Life Coach that counselling or psychotherapy would be beneficial first. Generally people turn to a counsellor or a psychotherapist when there is severe anxiety, clinical depression, obsessions, or other aspects that don’t allow for functioning. Seeking therapy for personal growth and increased self-awareness can be very beneficial. Coaching begins where psychotherapy leaves off.
