I worked for many years in community and hospital settings with women and girls who had experienced sexual assault and intimate partner violence. As a result, I bring a skilled trauma lens to my coaching as well as strong community connections.
Although I already had a mindfulness practice in my life, as my work became more challenging, I began to struggle and knew I had to make changes.
So I went on a solo Vision Quest: kayaking in the wilderness for 7 days (learn more about my trip in the video above). A powerful experience that guided me to find my own North Star. When I came back, I knew in my soul it was time to take action.
I went back to school to become a life coach and began studying Mindfulness to become a teacher.
Coaching and mindfulness are a powerful combination that nourish my soul; action and presence together, grounded in compassion and practice.
Formal learning has given me a lot too: accreditation as a Professional Certified Coach with International Coaching Federation; Masters of Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier University; Social Service Worker Diploma from Loyalist College; advanced Certified Mindfulness Facilitator with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies; Certificate on Mindfulness and Trauma with Dr. David Treleaven. Plus dozens of workshops and ongoing learning.
I love the combination of mindfulness and compassion for guiding you through change. I bring all of me, my whole self to my work with you: my personal healing journey, my yoga and mindful practices and my professional skills. Join me for a free discovery session to find out if coaching is for you!
